HMRC Job Retention Scheme portal

Further to HMRC’s communication to a Parliamentary Select Committee, it is anticipated that businesses will be able to access the HMRC Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme portal from 20th April to claim a grant to cover 80% of usual monthly wage plus NI and employer pension contributions for furloughed workers. Claims for PAYE employees can be backdated to March 1st with the first reimbursements aiming to be made on 30th April. Correct as at 9th April 2020.
