Manufacturing Disputes
Despite the best intentions, sometimes products do not meet requirements. Manufacturing can be a complex process whether producing a cog in the wheel or making a finished product.
Manufacturing disputes can arise from:
- Delay in supplying the products.
- Defective quality or problems with sale by sample.
- Liability for defects.
- Payment for products supplied, including retention of title.
We understand that manufacturing machinery is often an expensive capital outlay and one which is critical to the survival of the business and its operation. Any failure of machinery to perform as needed will always have a severe impact on the business concerned in terms of profitability, effect on customers/ clients and also staffing and overhead cost.
The experienced team at KBL work with manufacturers and when a dispute arises, we support our clients with the aim of maintaining the manufacturing operation or ensuring manufacturing re-starts as quickly as possible. In addition, we work to resolve manufacturing disputes quickly by engaging with opponents, insurers and lenders where necessary and employing a number of different methods from negotiation, mediation and, if necessary, the Court.
