KBL Backs Girls Out Loud Mentor Programme

We are proud to announce that our Insolvency & Restructuring Partner, Kathryn Maclennan, is now officially a mentor on the Girls Out Loud Big Sister programme, an inspiring initiative making a real difference to the lives of teenage girls in Bolton and beyond.

Girls Out Loud is dedicated to empowering teenage girls and helping them realise their full potential. The Big Sister programme matches each girl with a relatable female role model who provides guidance, encouragement and support during a pivotal time in their development.

The teenage years come with a unique set of challenges especially in today’s world of social media, body image pressures and growing mental health challenges. The Girls Out Loud programme aims to help these girls build confidence, find their voice and recognise their self-worth through the support of a relatable role model who genuinely cares.

Kathryn’s involvement reflects not only her personal commitment but also KBL’s wider values of empowerment, mentorship and community support. We are proud to stand behind initiatives like Girls Out Loud that invest in the next generation and promote positive, lasting change.

Speaking of her involvement Kathryn commented “I am incredibly proud to be representing KBL as a Big Sister mentor. As a firm, we are committed to supporting the communities we work in and empowering young people is a key part of that. Girls Out Loud is a fantastic initiative and I am honoured to be able to play a part in helping a young girl build confidence, resilience and belief in her own potential.”

The Girls Out Loud Big Sister programme is currently running in Bolton, Stalybridge and Warrington, with plans to expand to the Wirral later this year. To find out more or get involved, visit www.girlsoutloud.org.uk.
