The lady golfers at Bolton Golf Club went pink last week for a special charity golf day. Over 40 lady members turned out for the competition and many really got into the swing of things with pink attire, pink wigs and pink bunny ears.

Apart from having a great day of golf there was a more serious side to the event which was raising money for the cancer charity The Christie. Lady Captain, Gill Lowe said ” I am so pleased so many of our lady members supported this event and helped raise money for The Christie Charity which holds a special place for several of our members. The sun shone down on us and everyone had a fabulous day. ”

The event was sponsored by Bolton headquartered solicitors KBL where Lady Captain Gill works and every player received a pink goody bag with a golf ball, pen and afternoon tea! KBL’s Marketing Manager Kirsty Critchley said ” We were really pleased to support Gill in her charity event, as local solicitors we like to get involved in community events and also helping her raise money for a very important charity.”
