The new Direction outlines the rules on flexible furlough which will apply under the amended CJRS from today (1 July 2020) until the scheme is wound up on 31 October 2020.
The new Direction clarifies the requirements for the employer to renegotiate the terms of their existing arrangements with employees previously furloughed in connection with the newly proposed flexible furlough arrangements. The new Direction also provides that employers must retain the written agreements with employees until at least 30 June 2025.
