Meet the team - KBL Solicitors

The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak has today announced a further four month extension of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) which will now continue until the end of October 2020.

The CJRS will continue as currently set out, with workers receiving 80% of their salary (capped at £2,500 (gross) per month) until 31 July.  From 1 August, there will be greater flexibility in the scheme to allow employers to bring workers back on a part-time basis.  It is expected that from August, businesses will be required to share the costs of paying workers’ salaries under the scheme.  Full details are expected to be published by the end of this month.

If you would like to discuss the implications of the above changes to the scheme or need assistance with amendments to employees terms of employment pursuant to the CJRS, then please contact Sarah Collier, Head of Employment on 01204 527777 or email scollier@kbl.co.uk  Details correct as of 12th May 2020.
