Redundancy Payments Increase

From tomorrow the cap for redundancy payments will increase from £350.00 per week to £380.00 per week. There will not be a further increase until February 2011.

Statutory redundancy pay is calculated by way of a formula using the employee's age, length of service, and weekly pay. However, the weekly pay is subject to a statutory cap.

The increase will also be applicable to unfair dismissal compensation.
