Increase in Award for Dismissals

As of 1st February 2011, the maximum compensatory award for an unfair dismissal claim will increase from £65,300.00 to £68,400.00.

Additionally, the new cap for a week’s pay when calculating a basic award will increase from £380.00 to £400.00.

This therefore means that the maximum award an employee can receive for an unfair dismissal claim will increase to £80,400.00.
