The helpline provides advice on all employment issues from protecting businesses from claims for unfair dismissal, harassment, discrimination and contractual issues, through to simple queries about an employment contract.
The financial consequences of employment disputes can have a catastrophic impact on a business. The awards limit for unfair dismissal currently exceeds £50,000 and in the case of certain offences such as discrimination there is no limit. If required, the helpline can be linked to specialist employment protection insurance to cover compensation and legal costs associated with Employment Tribunal claims.
